POSTCARD FROM THE SLOPES

Some memories begin at the top of the hill.

Some memories begin before the first run. At the top of the hill, bundled in cold air and morning light, the day held that familiar mix of anticipation, laughter, and the quiet excitement of shared adventure.

Once the skis began to move, the day shifted into motion — bright snow, sharp air, and the thrill of leaning into the slope. What felt fast in the moment became one of those memories held in flashes of light and laughter.

Not every run was about speed. Some of the best moments were found between slopes — learning, laughing, and finding balance in the snow one awkward movement at a time.

I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the skiii

Of course, I couldn’t leave out the wipeouts.

Collected somewhere between courage and wipeouts.
